Flowery Orange Pekoe is refered to high quality whole leaf tea made from the first two leaves and bud of the shoot. 

The black tea production came to India around 1823 in the Assam region of India. This native variety was much better suited to the production of the hearty, bold black teas that were in high demand. In 1835, the English started planting tea gardens in Darjeeling, Assam. Since India was a British colony, different varieties of black teas quickly became popular exports to England.

Larger-leafed varietal of the tea plant that is typically used to produce black tea which is grown in warm, moist climates and is prolific in sub-tropical forests. When people talk generally of tea in Western culture, they’re often referring to black tea. Usually black tea has the caffeine content (14 to 61 mg) and it was decided by various factors on plantation.Indian tea is one of the most popular types of black tea in the world, and is commonly used in blends such as English Breakfast and Chai tea. The tea is made from a large-leafed variety of the Camellia sinensis plant, and is grown in lowland areas with a hot and humid climate.

The tea leaves are harvested and then processed using the Orthodox or CTC (Crush, Tear, Curl) method.The CTC  method involves crushing the leaves to release their natural oils and flavour compounds. This gives the tea a bold and robust flavour profile, which is perfect for drinking with milk and sugar.The Orthodox processing is predominantly for the estate plantation and it has more selectively processed to achieve the high quality.It is totally different from the CTC varieties ,whereby different estate leaves are utilised.
